Patch 8.1 – Gnomeregan Pet Battle Dungeon

General Where does it start? In Dazar’alors “Hall of Beasts” Radek Fuselock will offer the quest https://ptr.wowhead.com/quest=54184 to players at level 120 and we’ll meet Manapoof again (for Alliance it’s Tizzy Gearjolt at Boralus’ “Ruff Waters” with her own version of Manapoof). As usual, on our first run, we have to reach that destination without Manapoof’s teleport. Horde players who don’t wanna die by entering Gnomeregan via Dun Morogh head to Grom’gol in Stranglethorn Vale and use the teleporter to Gnomeregan dungeon. You can’t leave through the dungeon entrance (you will get teleported back to Grom’gol this way), so you have to invite someone to a group and then leave it. You will get teleported out of the dungeon to the next graveyard and this right next to  Environeer Bert’s pet battle and your destination NPC Micro Zoox. Rewards: Not only is Micro Zoox the guy that takes you into the scenario, he’s also a vendor and will offer these items in exchange for the new Pristine Gizmo tokens rewarded by completing the challenge version of the Gnomeregan pet battle dungeon: https://ptr.wowhead.com/item=165839  (1x Pristine Gizmo) https://ptr.wowhead.com/item=165844  (1x Pristine Gizmo) https://ptr.wowhead.com/item=165854  (1x Pristine Gizmo) https://ptr.wowhead.com/item=165855  (2x Pristine Gizmo) https://ptr.wowhead.com/item=165857  (3x Pristine Gizmo) Before you can enter the challenge mode you have to finish the normal pet battle dungeon to complete the quest Gnomeregan’s New Guardians. When it’s done you will learn https://ptr.wowhead.com/spell=286079 and receive 1x  https://ptr.wowhead.com/item=122457. When you manage to complete the challenge version (healing & reviving pets between fights is inactive) for Pet Battle Challenge: Gnomeregan you achieve https://ptr.wowhead.com/achievement=13269 and receive the https://ptr.wowhead.com/item=165894 battle pet.   Dungeon Details Stage 1...

My 2.222 cents on Battle Pets and related stuff in Battle for Azeroth Beta (incl. bug reports)

General: Maximum battle pet level won’t be changed and we know the reasons, so I’m looking forward to see what they have in store to keep us pet battlers/collectors interested. Expectation (regarding to tweets by Jeremy Feasel) is that BfA will have a bigger number of initial obtainable battle pets than we’ve seen in August 2016 when Legion launched. Pet Charm will be renamed to Shiny Pet Charm and a new currency Polished Pet Charm will be introduced. You’ll need the new currency to buy “always useful items” like training stones, pet XP food etc. Even old vendors will see that currency change. BfA purchases need Polished Pet Charms, pre-BFA stuff will still be available for Shiny Pet Charms at the old vendors and you’ll get them from pre-BfA pet battle content. The Pocket Pet Portal will no longer be tied to Legion WQs only, there’s a second option to purchase it for the 1000 Polished Pet Charms (they don’t want to force players do go back and do Legion pet battle WQs to increase the number of collectible pets to 1500). World Quests: They have 24 pet battle WQs ready for launch, 4 of them in each of the 6 new zones on Zandalar and Kul Tiras. We’ve heard they’ll try to use the scaling mechanic of Crysa and Environeer Bert more often and they deliver! For 19 of these WQs (the ones including a tamer/trainer NPC) the enemy pets scale with the highest pet level in your team and only use the appropirate number of abilities. The other 5 WQs are tied to special pets, some of...

How to collect battle pet Uuna in Patch 7.3

Weeks ago data-mining websites and the pet journal on 7.3 PTR listed a cute little female Draenei Uuna (non-combat battle pet) and The Many-Faced Devourer as source. While I was testing different pet families on One-of-Many for the Family Fighter achievement today I’ve seen the golden rare spawn star on my minimap and a russian alliance player was already fighting The Many-faced Devourer. So I joined the battle and looted the corpse, but no pet drop. Curious about the golden star appearing and disappearing on my minimap earlier I tried to find that player to ask him what happended and what he did to spawn that rare, unfortunately I could not find him. Few hours later another guy of the same russian guild also spawned this rare so I logged onto my alliance char immediately to ask him and he was not very happy to talk in english but then he was not only willing to tell me how he did it, he was kind enough to hand me coordinates of the bone locations! Later he spawned The Many-Faced Devourer multiple times. I think a lot of rare spawns bugged at that time, they dropped loot on each kill and people were grinding AP tokens, usually they drop loot once per day &  character. And then the first people had their Uuna summoned and a few kills later I got mine 😀   So it was time to find that bones to spawn that rare on my own, so here is what I did… Step 1: Get http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=152786 (unfortunateley I don’t remember how I got mine, I carried this...
